Default Genral info On 3GT’s

What's up guys i just signed up here because im thinkin about buying a 3000GT. I have a 323is and im 17 in High School. The reason im thinking about one of these is im sick of paying out the *** for insurance, and after market parts. I have an ECIS intake, Bav Auto springs, Shark Injector, and that alone cost me $800. I have a system that cost me like $700 but that isnt a waste because i can put it in any car i ever have. But anyways i just want to know what kind of #'s these cars have. I know the VR4 is the best of the best, and its AWD, but thats pretty much it. Front wheel drive is not and option, i dont know if any of them are RWD. But if you guys could just give me some general info i'd appreciate it, thanks - Mitch

ya, it seems like you kinda know what your getting yourself into, there is no rwd 3kgt unless your planning on doing some major work. but there is the base and SL which are almost exactly the same both FWD. and than the vr-4 awd twin turbo. i have the base model. it is about a 16sec. 1/4 mile car where the vr-4 is a mid 13sec 1/4. (if you were wondering about speed) they are both pretty heavy cars. the vr-4 of course is heavier because of the awd. insurance i am not sure about everyone else but me a 16 year old girl w/ no tickets on record i pay 230 a month on insurance. so it will varry for age, sex, record and what not. They are pretty nice cars, but if you are looking for something EXTREAMLY fast, look elsewhere but they are fun. oh and by the way. parts can get a little costly since they stopped making them in 99'. Hope i answered all your questions. </P>
