I have a miss that happens when I try to accelerate normally. But if I push the pedal slowly and keep a gentle rate keeping with the motor it'll run as high as I want to go. But at any point in the rpm I push just a little to far it will miss.
Computer is new a has been checked all plugs,wires. It's been to two Mitsubishi dealers one had a guy whose worked there 17 years and tried for two days and didn't charge me a dime for trying to fix it.
The other dealer hooked it up to the big computor and it didn't show any codes.

Help me I have a Z06 to race.

 

How many miles are on the car? Plugs and wires original? Are the coil packs putting outa good spark?

Ross pistons,RC fuel injectors,headwork,balanced to .2 grams, Turbonetics turbos all kinds of good stuff.

 

Can you pinpoint which cylinder drops out?

 

Not yet but I'm pulling the plugs tomorrow. Sound like a mass miss not just one. Fuel may be falling off but I can't figure out how I can wind it up to 7000rpm slowly with no miss. I have two air fuel guages one for the front bank and one for rear and the rear goes nuts when the miss starts.

 

What kind of fuel system do u have? Hook up a manual fuel pressure gauge and see if it drops out when the mis occurs.

 

Venom pump. Guage is happening tomorrow as well.

 

What size are your injectors and how many lph is the fuel pump? Where is the fuel pressure set at?

 

The fuel is not it I'm 99% sure. It started out as you would start the car and it was fine and the next time it would miss as time went by it just went to miss all the time. Not a one day it happened deal.

 

Well if you have pump failing it can be like that too,slowly falling off. I would make sure fuel isn't an issue w/ a gauge then check the ignition system.
