Air filter is an air filter it just filter the dust going inside your engine.

A cone filter by itself will make the car run much worse; this has been proven by many who tried and discovered the idle went bad. A good uprade for the D is the bored throtle body, as throttle response is much better with it without those dead spots.

By the way it is not the Filter it is the intake.

Filter just filterize the air. Intake development like the way they bend the Allow or what ever steel they use. All filter are made in China. so they have the same material but different shapes. I used cone air filter on my FUJITA F5 SRI it was fine. The Fujita f5 air filter is much smaller size.

It is just the way the built the Short Ram Intake and Cold Air Intake.

I don't use AEM. it is nice but there is something wrong with the intake system it is much louder than a Fujita and the AEM doesn't SOUND like an intake it sounds like busted muffler or pipe.

it doesn't have the Harley Davidson sound like the Fujita f5 and RRM.

i which the filter on my 92 Diamante to a cone one you just need to do it before the mass air censer. i got an adapter and air filter from shucks to fit it on to the air censer. after that it seems to breathes way beadier and a bit quicker iv e had problims with changing the tubing after the censer i really dont know what it duse but i switched out the big black box thing for a tubee and my car seemed to not idle *** well well as it did with the box thing
