I just picked up a 2008 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4-Cylinder Automatic. I'm a dealer, and I've have a great experience with this motor and transmission. The vehicle I picked up wouldn't go into gear, just slipped, it coded up for P0734 . I picked it up 3 hours away from where I live. I checked the transmission fluid and it was low. I filled it with a quart cleared codes, and we drove for an hour. The check engine light coded back up, and we, again, filed the fluid and cleared codes. We drove another hour and it went to like limp mode. This time, after filing it, it would only drive in 2nd gear. We did notice that it appears to leak from the top of the transmission. Anyone fix a similar issue? And yes, it made it home! 💪
