changing chirp & blink pattern when locking/unlocking

always wondered why my '04 Endeavor LS doesn't blink when I unlock, though it blinks when locking. Then I came across somebody's post that you can change that - so I did, but now it doesn't blink anymore when I press lock and I can't get it back to where it was!
Here's what I found out:

press and hold "unlock" on the keyfob for about 5 seconds,
then press "lock" while still holding "unlock",
release "unlock"
release "lock"

you here a beep from the dash to confirm.
Now this cycles between two stages -

no blinks at all and
only blinks when unlocking.

But I feel like there should be more stages like

only blinks when locking and
blinks when locking and unlocking?

so mine now blinks when unlocking but not when locking anymore.
does anybody know about this programming and if there is a more detailed procedure on how to get different results?

btw doing it the other way around - meaning holding "lock" first - will cycle through three stages to change the chirp pattern
no chirp - chirp on first lock - chirp on second lock.

cheers!

solved

alright got it figured out: change the release of the buttons around and you'll get different results, i.e. for the blinking,

press and hold "unlock",
then press and hold "lock" for a few seconds,
then release "lock" first,
then release "unlock",

this changes the blinking behavior when locking.

Haven't tried the other combination (press & hold "lock" first etc.)
yet but I think it would change how the powerlock opens when unlocking - only driver's door first and all on second click or all right away?
