Injector failures at 55,000 miles

You two arent really helping him.
The fact is that IVE been working on mitsus for 17 years... and injectors do NOT fail on endeavors. period. Certainly not 3 at a time.
the tech misdiagnosed it, unless someone else has run something through the fuel system that is a particulate and physically clogged it solid... in which case it will happen again.

They should not have failed
The injectors should not have failed, unless something electrically fried them or they mechanically clog. I'm not sure the MTBF (mean time between failures) but they should last a very long time (150k+). I have only had to replace an injector once, and that was a Bosch unit that was causing a smog fail (poor spray pattern) on a '85 Volvo. If the dealer is going to change them then change them ALL. If the check engine light comes back on then you know something else is causing the issue. Could be a failing coil or fouled plug. Or a harness issue.
