What's the deal with the headlight bulbs???
I have a 2006 Endeavor. One low beam went out at around 44,000 miles. The second one went out shortly before 45,000 miles. My 2001 Ford Escape has 131,000 miles on it and the bulbs are all still original except for one brake light. Is 45k normal for Endeavors?

RE: What's the deal with the headlight bulbs???
I replaced both with OEM Sylvania bulbs. It's an easy process. I've just never experienced a headlight bulb failure so early on any car before and for both to go out made me wonder if that's normal. If it's not normal, I wanted to get it checked out while the car is under warranty.
I'm also wondering whether I should have upgraded the bulbs while I was replacing them....

Interesting........... One of my headlights just went out on my '06 Endeavor today at 49,000 mi. I replaced 'em both right away becausein my experience the second usually goes out not long after the first.
As for upgrading the bulbs - some of the newer bulbs are much brighter, but usually what you gain in brightness you give up in lifespan. (kind of obvious - the brighter bulbs burn hotter thus generallydon't last as long)
