carbon clutches generally have a short life span but are good on the drivetrain and pretty good on street feel with the capacity to hold alot of power.

I spend $1500 on a exedy twin disc which is more proven and stood behind by many. Carbon clutches as far as i have ever seen dont last long at all. Esspecailly when broken in the wrong way. Im talking I have seen some people only get a few thousand miles before they start slipping

I heard FOG spent a crap load on his HKS Carbon tripple plate and lasted like 900 miles or something.

It was an exedy triple carbon and yes they are like $3k+ and he only had it a few hundred. Remember his car has 630HP and only has 5600 on the odo so you tell me how it is broken in lol

i heard that exedy and tilton's carbon clutches do not last long, then i was recommended the carbonetic from the shop.
he said it is very good. i don't wanna brake my car in 5600 odo.... too bad.
has anyone ever tried the carbonetic clutches? or any suggested one, please?

a carbon clutch is a carbon clutch. Exedy ahd tilton clutches are the top of the line for the Evo. Every Evo guy would recommend it and they are EXTREMELY popular. My old Evo had a Exedy twin disc (was not carbon) the clutch is holding almost 500WHP now and making multiple passes almost weekly at the track running low 11s and trapping upper 124MPH. the clutch has been running at these extremes for over a year (not daily driven though)

Keep in mind the more disc's it has the less life they will have. My exedy twin was rated for 550 ft lbs or something which means prob over 600WHP
