Default evo 9 clutch

Hi guys i just get my evo 9 with 4000 miles.
the clutch pedal is very long and the other day y try to pull faste en first gear and clutch slip and i smell that burn clutch smell.

is the stock clutch weak??? also when i shift from first to second i heard a !!!clanck noise!! is that normal issue with the 5 speed trans.

I really appreciate your help.

the drivetrain is noisy they clank and clunk all the time... if you are only at 4k and need a clutch then your car is abused. yes the stock clutch is weak but it last on average 20k with people who race hardcore. I have my stock one still at 36k and hold fine and I am around 300AWHP now. I mena 4k is not even broken in yet so that is not a good thing

Please post a few details about yourself. Age, Gender, and please post your style of driving this may help us diagnose the problem. In no way am i saying you are to blame but it would help me to remove that from the list of possibilities.

well if you got it with 4k then my guess is the person that had it before you just ignored the whole break-in period and just kinda beat the crap out of the stock clutch.

im really dont know if the clutch really slip but the pedal lenght is to long also is my first time driving a evo i use to ride sti.
