i was just wondering if there's any clearn signs of a beaten down evo. like for the 2g's oil from the valvecover kinda signs. also found an evo at a dealership in mass for 14000, all it needed was a t-case and clutch, think that one was beaten to sh**?!??!?!?lol yeah just wondering if there's anything to look for or just the overall pic and hope you get lucky?

 

T case whine. Should hear it in first and maybe 2nd but not much after. try shifting a little quick see it it grinds alot of Evos do (but not mine). Try the clutch test in 4th or 5th on a small incline floor it and see it the clutch holds it.

BIGGEST thing to do IMO is 1 see it there are service records or proof of when things were done. Also look for leaky Tcase tranny and rear diffs.

Otherwise just drive it and see.
