Well yeah, here's a list of mods that i have on my car. K&N Intake, Greddy exhaust, stage 2 intercooler, and stage 2 clutch. thats about it on what i have on power upgrades. And my buddy's rsx type s only has a aem V2 intake and exhaust. but yeah my car has way more horses than his and on a launch i would get him by like four cars on quarter mile. and on aroll like 40 miles per hour, when we both floored the gas pedal, my car would actually pull him by one car but once he gets in his third gear, he would pull up closer and closer and on his fourth, he would pass me. We both started on second gear. the same thing happen when we switched cars where i would drive his and he would drive mine and the same exact thing happen. he would go up a little when we floored the gas but as soon i hit third in his car, i would come up closer and closer. the same thing. i can seriously feel the difference between the gears on both cars. u stay longer on third and fourth gear on the rsx than u would on the evo.

The only mods really working for you right now is the exhaust, The IC is not doing to much for you on a stock turbo since the stock IC is more than enough for stock boost. the Intake adds you nothing at this point in your mods as well. and a Stage 2 clutch is nothing to me unless your talking about spec stage clutches which I assume you would have said that??

A 03 Evo stock only runs low 14s and some freaks that hit high 13s. Unless you have a boost controller and a flashed Ecu there is no way in hell your prob running better than a 13.5 and even that might be a stretch. Of course there are alot of things that make a difference too but im just basing off of you info provided here.

Just for a little prospective I have $10k into my motor. My car ran a 12.3@115 MPH. The MPH says my shifting was slow and launch was average at best because 115MPH is good to hit 12.0 Again I have a flash, cams, 5otrim turbo upgrade, ect ect ect LOTS of mods. granted I have a few things that are causeing my car to be slower than it should. My setup should hit 11.8 at 119 MPH when tuned and running perfect. My tune below par and I have a vented BOV killing me and average driving. But still I have a 400HP evo and I run 12s.

yea all my buddies have 6 speed cars also, rsx type s and 08 civic si 350z and so on. And i'm still about to buy a 5 speed evo, because the 6 speed is weak, and was the worst idea for the evo XI. If i were you, i'd wait for the evo X to come out if you really want a 6 speed car. but that's just my opinion. But still i'd buy a 5 speed evo anyday over an evo mr

Good advice right there ^^^

Either way i would wait for the EVO X. When it comes out, the price of the others are going to fall big time, and if you have enough cash by then you might be able to get the X anyways.

so the evo x isnt a bad car. ive heard they weighed a bit more than the evos that we had now. i do love my evo rite now but i really wanted a stock car that i can upgrade it with the parts that i want. i was plannin to do some upgrades to my evo 8 rite now but if it is best to wait and get the evo x, then i should save the money that i have rite now for that car. or should i just keep my evo 8 and mod it.

keep the VIII it can be faster as of right now since it is proven to go very close to 7 sec 1\4s youll never build a car that fast anyway. and the Evo x is more of a handling car. it will corner 1000x better but it is heavier so it will be slower slightly unless they add a bit more HP

it was made more for handling, and besides, it's the first evo not to come out with the 4g63(right mike?lol), so it'll take a while for performance parts to come out for the evo x, like it does for all the cars, and the parts are gunna costway more, and no1 will know off the bat, what it can handle, until someone does it and blows it up,lol

I will bet it will handle ALOT and I will bet parts will come out pretty damn fast. Yes they are losing the 4g63 iron block and going to a 4B11 all alluminum block which is a scary but not to bad. the handling of the X will blow the VIII and IX out of the water since it will now introduce to the u.s. S-YAW controll which all teh FQ version euro Evos had and they could out lambos and lotus' which are some of the best handling cars in the world.

oh yeah, i've heard about the fq's, isn't it called the fq400, which looks like the evo VIII and XI, except less power and worse handling? And yeah i heard the evo X will handle way better, and we'll see how fast parts come out. And does anyone know if they're beefing up the tranny a little bit better, which i could imagine they would. So we'll prolly see the evo X in the autoX scene.
this is where i saw the fq400, and they got the fq 320 or fq 260,(and the number behind the fq is for how much bhp it has) not bad http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1ZWJjC648I(don't watch the part were they do the top gear run, cuz they do it with an mr which we all kno after this thread sux, so if they did that test with an evo VIII or evo XISE it woulda been totally different) and if they did that test with emonz's evo that thing woulda been behind by a mile
