oil leak

ok so i went and did a oil change yesterday on the evo and saw oil around the oil filter is this normal. and what could it be

was it dripping or just damp? because you are supposed to put oil around the gasket of the filter when putting it on so it could be that OR it wasnt on tight enough

well it was damp it wasnt enough to lose oil, yea i did put oil on the gasket, could this happen if your oil pressure goes up from racing.

not unless you like to over fill which is bad as it is

no i put about 4.8 qrts in and its full, so.
