So I have been thinking about getting one because its getting a little old having to sit in the car to cool down. I know its only a couple minutes of waiting in the car but sometimes you gotta go in a hurry, so I was looking at lancershop and they have this

is this a good on??? how hard are they to install??? Or should I just forget about it??? Like I said Its no big deal having to wait in the car its just that some days it gets old when you wanna run out. Also I know some people are gonna say to just not run the car hard when you know your stopping, but unfortunately im driving an evo and thats hard to do. Just want some opinions on if i should waste my money on this or not and if so is this a good one. Thanks everyone.

They are good but all they are is a luxary so you if your a lazy erson ya know. for the money honestly your better off buying a 255lph walbro pump it more worthy to your car than a TT

I dont know I was just thinking about it, I dont have a problem sitting in the car, I dont mind it at all its just that sometimes waiting is just a PITA. Oh hey emonz I deciced that i am gonna get the megan turboback but im gonna get the resonator with it so its not as loud, I'll just have to figure something out about the cat later, Im gonna get it from Zeus but right now he is out so I gotta wait. Thanks for the advice on the TT, I guess I'll spend my money on something else.

i suggest you do buy the turbo timer, waiting in the car is a pain, especially when your in a hurry. For 100 dollars, its a good saving time investment And with the proper cooling times the turbo timers read, it helps maintain your turbo healthy . If you really tight on money, and dont think it's essential, scratch the idea. Save that money and put it towards flashing your car. Fuel pump wont be neccesary until the ecu is programed to run leaner anyway.

you do a pump before a flash. if you do it after youll need to reflash it. A TT is just a luxary for lazy people. its not a nessesity. other things are far more important and a Fuel pump is one of them along with a flash and that is not only for the power but for gas milage and saftey. The stock fuel pump in the VIIIs was junk there have been quite a few pup failures and just aboutevery Evo company recommends you buy a fuel pump before doing any other mods.

Turbo timers are good. I have the Greddy one. $91.00 at Lancershop.
Emonz is right, do the pump and any other mods that you can afford before the flash/tune bucause any mods you make after it will most likely cause you to need a retune.That cost you $$$$ that you dont need to spend.

The turbo timer I got is built into my security system. To activate it, engage the E-brake then press two buttons on the control module. I honestly don’t use it all the time cause I don’t drive that far. My work is less than 2 min’s from my house. By the time I reach to work, take off my seat belts, find my work badge, the turbo has already cooled. I do use it if after a good cruise. It is programmable for 1, 3, and 5 minutes if I remember correctly. The best part is if u don’t feel the need of the engine ideling for the designated time, shut if off by hitting a button on the control module. I had mines set for 3 min which is more than enough time but after one minute, I shut it down. And it does counts down on the control module. This system provides security plus convenience. cool, thanks for all the suggestions guys. I think I might get it just to be safe on the turbo and everything,im not lazy at all its just an extra insurance policy in my eyes, im getting the megan turbo back and fuel pump soon, then im gonna head off to Ams for a custom tune, Im trying to save some cash so I can do it all at once. Thanks again everyone.

lol. i know you do install the fuel pump before flashing the car, if you didn't, it would totally negate the fact you spent money on flash, then doing all over again.I figured it was self implied. As for the stock ones being weak, i didn't know. I guess we didn't leave it long enough for us to find out. lol. 255 already in there

but i guess gotboost, if you tight on money, fuel pump would be your best option. If not, do it like us lazy folks do.Buy the turbo timer.

Since we're on the subject of EVO fuel pumps. Isn't the EVO9 pump close to 250? It pumps more than a 190lph?...right?

Back on track. It will never hurt you or your turbo car to have a TT, lazy or not. It's $100 for a little peace of mind on days where you are running a little on the late side. It's a matter of pulling up the brake, taking out your keys, getting out and locking your doors...done, just like any other car, except for the fact that your car is still running and you don't have to do anything extra or unusual. Buy a harness (like and aftermarket radio harness) and it's plug and play...literally. I don't think a TT is a waste of money, at all.
Theft...no issues really, as long as you wire up the e-brake wire. Once that is released, the car shuts off (if it's on that is) and it will automatically shut of when the time is done of course.

I'm a little late, but I say buy it.
