Its not more wear. Its less surface threrefor not lasting as long becaus of it. they are thin clutches its not gonna last as long as a single disc clutch will.

But IMO id rather have a clutch go out on me than a Tcase and tranny

No i dont mean the friction plates i mean the other mechanics, i.e. after i were to put in the SD or HD i would mostly be replacing the friction plates not the whole clutch kit

 

and that is not so bad compaired to the $3+ for a tcase lol
