Default 100,000 mile maintenance?

Hello all! I have a 2007 Mitsubishi Galant that I bought used at about 70k miles. It just hit 100k, and I figured this was probably a good time to take it in to a shop and have some maintenance done. Problem is, I don't know what sort of thing I should expect to have them do, and I don't want to get ripped off.

I get the oil changed regularly, and I bought new tires about a year ago, but other than that I haven't done much of anything to it (I think I had a radiator flush a year back).

I believe I need to replace the battery soon, and the manual says that the engine timing belt and spark plugs should be replaced soon, and the brakes should be checked. Is there anything else I should ask for? Thank you very much!

Sounds like you've identified the big stuff. I would have the water pump replaced when you do the timing belt. I would also suggest having the transmission flushed if you have the money.

Hi Reynard
I have 1996 Galant with 218k miles on it and when doing 60k service always do: timing belt and auxiliary belts, water pump, spark plugs with wires, distributor, engine and transmission oil change Also have valve cover gasket and head gasket checks as well as crankshaft and oil pump seals. Check brakes and air filter. Hope that helps.
Robert
