1992 galant dohc?
 
i own a 1992 galant. its the regular four door. i want to buy a dohc fwd eclipse motor . matching year. well i be able to put the jdm in and buil right in to my tranmisson. its qa 4g6e sohc in my car right now?

Hey! Another Galant owner. Mine is a 90.

You should be able to fit the engine in it without any problem.As long asit is a 4G63DOHC it should be fine. I had an eclipseengine put in mine. I think one connector had to be spliced. The trand should bolt up because it does not matter if it was fwd or awd. It's the same engine - except for the mybe the cam profile. You may not get the performance of the GVr4 because of the differences.

The GVR4 was a great car - a cool stealth vehicle -the beginning of the performance Mitsubishi EVO thing. I get the feeling we don't get any respect from some of the twits on these forums.

thank you for your help. if i understand you i will be able to use a vr-4 motor also. but if do use the eclispe motor will i be able to swap out my ecu for the eclispe one? what about a 50 shot of nos kit. worth it our not? reply back
