2001 galant OBD2 readiness monitors.
Hey guys, i just joined a forum a few days ago, so take it easy on me :D.
ANyway, i bought a 2001 galant and when i try to take it through emissions it says that catalyst, egr, and evap monitors are not ready. Is there a certain drive cycle i need to go thru? I disconnected the battery on it last week to fix my temp gauge in the gauge cluster, so i figured the computer would have reset by now? Anything special i need to do? Is the radio connected to the obd system like some german cars? I'm not new to cars, i've been in the automotive industry since i was like 18 (about 6 yrs lol), so i can fix pretty much anything myself. I did lots of research but wasn't able to come up with anything. Mitsubishi told me to drive it til the computer decides to work properly  thanks |
Just drive it for another 50-100 miles till the sensors register enough data and take it back to them , just like the guy told you
|
Problem is i've driven it 2 weeks since the last time i reset it, and that's 30+ miles a day. So i don't understand it.
Is there any diagrams that show obd wiring/diagrams etc.? there is a plug hanging down with a green wire coming out of it, and it's right by obd2 port, i haven't had time to see what it does. |
