2002 Galant 2.4L Where is the VSS located????:(

Every time I drive my car the speedometer doesnt work at all,
I tried finding the Vehicle Speed Sensor on the Transmision end but its not there only a little cover thats covering the hole, there is another sensor thats undereath the battery tray, Im wondering if thats the VSS:confused:
