2002 Galant ES rear rotors don't fit
I'm trying to replace the rear rotors on a 2002 Galant ES. This is the first time I'm doing this since buying the car last fall.
I've tried to install 2 different brands (Wearever and Duralast) and they both do the same thing:
Everything spins freely until I put the wheel on and tighten the lugs. Once I tighten the lugs, the wheel is impossible to turn. Both sides. As far as I can tell the new rotors are deeper than the old ones and get pressed into (something?)
Just to be sure I didn't screw something up, I put the old rotors back on, tightened the lugs and the wheels spun just fine.
Has anyone else had trouble using aftermarket rear rotors on a 2002 ES? Do I have to go to a dealer for the parts?
Thanks for any thoughts on this issue.
