2002 Mitsubishi Galant
 

Hey guys. I just got my first car today and yes, you guessed it, it's a 2002 Galant. ;) Unfortunately I don't know too much about the reliability of Mitsubishis and how many miles they can stand. I did check consumer report on the Galant and was pleased with it. Plus it was recommended as a good used car buy so I went for it. My car has a little over 65k on it. How much higher do you think the mileage can go before it meets its demise? lol. Of course, this is assuming it has been taken care of fairly well. Thanks in advance! :)

v6 or 4 banger? either way it will last along time if taken care of

oh that would be the 4g64 my bro has a 3g eclipse with the same motor. if well taken care of it should last well over 100k miles:D

heyy ur lucky i bought my 2002 Galant with 116 k miles on it. I'm up to 125 with no problems besides a dead battery and the heat (which wasn't cheap) but other then that no other problems what so ever. I hope i didn't jinx nething but ne way enjoy ur car.

Yeah I just bought my first 02 Galant I have the GTZ v6 I got mine at 96k and when I bought the car my heat didnt work which Im glad I noticed it!!! The dealership is currently fixing the problem for me, so Im stuck with the dealerships 06 impala lol :)

Hmmm... I got mine '99 Galant off the Chevy's dealership as well with 95k on it; running into 120 almost with no problems (had to change the oil filter last winter) and now I think one of the lifters has gone bad - taking care of it tomorrow...


I'm curious why Chevy's dealerships got Mitsubishis?!

maintain it and it will easily last 250000 miles. (fluids, filters, timing belts, etc.)
neglect it and it will die like any car.
