I did some searches on this site, but didn't find any old posts on the Galant black paint problems. Did Mitsubishiever do a recall? If no, has anyone had any luck getting their local dealers to re-paint their car?

I live in Kansas City, Missouri and in the process of taking my wife's 99 Galant to the dealership so they can submit pictures to corporate headquarters. I use onlyZaino polish http://www.zainostore.com/on all my cars and I'm very upset that thepaint isfading/turning white on the top of my Galant.From all my research, it looks like a problem with the clear coat. Thanks.

 

the black paint on certain years of the eclipse and galant all have this problem...the dealer**** wont re paint it from the cases i have seen...basically it should be recalled but never will.

 

99 Galant here too. Black paint on the roof, hood, trunk is a weird cloudy white design. Extremely annoyed that it was never recalled because clearly there is a problem with this clear coat.
