This morning my car wouldn't start (left the dome light on overnight, the battery died). I jumped the car with a friends car, and the car runs fine now. The problem is that the stock CD player won't turn on. The blue light comes on the screen, but when trying to turn it on, the only thing that shows up is "OFF". It disappears after a few seconds and none of the other buttons do anything. I've disconnected the battery and reconnected it hoping to reset something, but it did not do anything.

It is a 2000 Galant and I would appreciate any input. Thanks in advance if anyone knows what is going on.

Your unit is locked, use the unlock code to unlock it. Press any of the numbers and you should trigger the word code.

 

you tried to enter the incorrect audio code 3 times. Now its locked, and it must remain in the "on" position (diplaying the word "off") for 1 hour.
then you need to enter the correct code.
