2002 Mitsu Galant with the v6 motor. Came to a stop sign and the car dies. Attempt to start but it won't. Turns over. I figured out that if I press the accellerator the car will start and run but will not idle. Once you get the car moving, it runs smooth as normal but will die when you slow down/ dont keep the rpm's up.

I've haven't had any work performed on it recently or at all. No dash light indicators are lit up other than the check engine light but it stays lit up due to faulty converter.
Will it display any codes if checked?
Any ideas??

I cleaned the throttle body out but that didn't help. I was thinkin tps but I just want to cover my bases before buying parts. Will that throw a code that I can scan?
