RE: 2003 Lancer OZ Rally Edition
You CAN put a turbo on a lawnmower if you really wanted to... so Im sure that applies to this too. But the question is, is it worth the money, aggrivation and time.. my answer would be probably not.
It DOES use a 4G69 motor though... so it may be worth looking into a 4g63t swap or something more like that. As the transmission goes... Well... i wouldnt get my hopes up. |

thank you for the help. so the tectronic shifter is probably a no go?

I would say so... well, I mean... almost ANYTHING is possible... but, not financially intelligent.
Picture it like fitting wheels to a tomato... time consuming and completely pointless. |
RE: 2003 Lancer OZ Rally Edition
well I talked to some guys on another site about putting a 16G turbo in my car. what do you think about that? everyone is telling me its not worth it because there arnt that many of these cars but I like that.

RE: 2003 Lancer OZ Rally Edition
thats a nice car.. i have the same exact thing cept mines a 5spd.. i just got done putting a new tranny in it( past owner destroyed it) andi upgraded the clutch with an ACT stage 2... i go on roadracemotorsports.com for performance parts they seem to have a good selection for that car

RE: 2003 Lancer OZ Rally Edition
honestly, it is not worth it. evolutionm.net's fastest 4G94 only runs a 12. something.... and they dumped TONS of money into. For the amount of money they dumped into it, you could buy a decent EVO... As for the 4g63t swap it will not work because the timing belt and transaxles are on opposite sides... looking from the front on the 4g94 the timing belt is on the left and the tranny on the right, whereas on a 4g63 it is timing belt on the right and tranny on the left.
