Default 2004 lancer es help

i have a 04 lancer es with a hopefully minor problem mostly in the mornings my car idles high for about 5 min or so and also it hard for me too shift into 1st gear and sometimes when i go to shift into third it sorta grinds but not too bad but after about 10 min of my car running everything seems too be fine if there is any fix to this please let me know thanx

adjust your clutch. Number one.

Two: High idle... Sticking egr, warm air reed, dirty maf, ****ty plugs, thermostat failure, a million things. Time for a service.

do i adjust the clutch by loosening the lock nut under the dash or is there another way

depends on clutch set up. Usually set the pedal height under the dash (find a spec, or match to the brake height)
in the bonnet, pull the cable sheath forward and wind the locknut toward the firewall, until the freeplay is to spec or about 1/4"

of cours if its hydraulic, you want to top up and bleed the system.
