Default Bluetooth dropping during road trips on 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer SE

I went on an 8 hour drive not too long ago and had my phone connected to my bluetooth to play music during the drive. About 3 hours into the drive, it suddenly stopped playing and I couldn't reconnect until I made a pit stop to turn the car off and on again. It happened again near the end of the drive and on the drive back home I had the same issues. I was supposed to have this checked with my dealer but they cancelled on me and I'm unable to rebook for the next week so I wanted to get input here. Has this happened to anyone here? Does it simply depend in the area I'm driving in? What should I try?

Saaaaame so agitating! 2017 Lancer SE. Happens once every trip longer than 45 min. Why even install BT if it doesn't work half the time, completely useless. Did you ever find a fix? Been searching online and it's clearly an issue with these cars... But no one seems to have a solution to it
