Cvt question
I have a 2009 lancer 2.4 transmission went out so I replaced it with a known good spare I had but it doesn’t seem right, almost like the transmission is slipping. I swapped the electronics from the valve body so it wouldn’t throw any codes. Does this need a relearn or calibration when installing a new transmission?

Hello, is the same transmission? Did u change fluids, filters, torque converter. Any codes? Check pressures

That’s good. I’m not an expert on CVT but from repairs I made; it was a pressure solenoid, was giving me rough shift and slipping. No codes at all… I had to drive it couples of times, reading pressures. And compare with a good CVT….Had to say, CVT isn’t a science but gives a really good headache sometimes.
Almost forgot, reset the computer. |

Almost forgot, reset the computer. maybe it’s a solenoid just not sure why it worked perfectly when I pulled it to give issues now that I installed into a different vehicle. I ordered the mut 3 scan tool to reset some of the learned values of the cvt to see if that helps. Hopefully someone with experience will chime in and give some insight. Thanks |
