how do you install new gas tank lid on an 09 lancer gts
 

hi,
im just wondering if anyone knows how to put a new Lancer GTS gas tank lid?? im just thinking of little things to do to my car so far and this is one of them. i just ordered the scuff plates, and then theLancer decal for the third brake light. if anyone can help..that would be great!!

what do you mean gas tank lid? is that a light for the gas Tank?

or the Alloy plate for gas cover.

if It's light that would be dangerous orif the cover for the Gas door you just need a 3m tape with a red peel.

its the alloy door part. i found one and they said that its easy and theres only 2 screws but i looked ad i couldnt see any. maybe im blind!!! they said that you dont have to do any drilling.

I think you have REPLACE THE OLD DOOR with the New Alloy Door cover.

the 2 screws I think is the one that you have to screw on the door. If I am correct removed the old door and replace it with the new one. thats why they said no drilling because there already a hole from the old door.

loosen the 2 screw from the old door and replace with the allow door and tighten the screws.

if the alloy door comes with 2 new screw I recommend that you use it.

Forget about the what I said earlier on my post

I was wrong by putting the alloy door on to the old stock door with 3m Tape was incorrect

the alloy door will be sticking out and it will be ugly like having fake alloy door on top of the old stock door.

How much was the alloy door?

next time ask the dealer I think they wont mind telling you how to install the door because you bought it from them if not they won't help you if the guy is nice he might.

its easy to install, just remove the bolts holding the original lid on and mount the bracket with those bolts. then bolt the new lid to the bracket.

Inside and two the left, if you follow the hinge it leads to the two bolts, remove the bolts. and replace it with the new door.

I feel like the my LANCER is a toy I have a lot of parts or accessories to install.
especially from RRM.
