Lancer DE blacked out steel wheels or hub caps?

Ok guys, my girlfriend and I have this 2010 Lancer DE in black. I say take off these ugly hubcaps and paint the calipers red till we can afford better. Although, my girlfriend was totally upset and she wants to keep the hubs on. So my question is to everyone... which looks better....?
