Thinking about buying an 09 lancer GTS
 

I just want some opinions on what you guys think of the car. All the reviews say great stuff but i figured here was the place to get some real wisdom.

Lancer GTS is beautiful, more inferior than any other car of the same price. especially if you planning to do mods...

Just got a brand new 2011 GTS like, 3 weeks ago. I'm sure the 09 is about the same.

One major problem, is that during the last few weeks, there were two occasions where the car would not start until several cranks of the engine during rainy weather. I've seen other people in forums reiterate the same problem as well. I am currently still taking this up with the dealer and manufacturer. But this is not to say that the problem occurs with everyone, maybe I was just unlucky. I've heard other people drive the same car around for years without a problem. Definitely have the seller let you test drive it on a rainy day from a cold start to be certain you won't end up with this problem, if he/she warms up the car the day you go to test it, I would just leave.

Other than that, great car so far. Everyone I know is impressed by it since it looks more expensive than it actually costs. It's a good everyday car to get you places while looking good at the same time. Interior is roomy and pretty comfortable, handling is great, relatively quiet in the cabin but could be better.

Don't count on it for power or speed however. The drive is a bit rough with the sports suspension especially on crappy roads.
