2001 Mirage Suspension. help?

2001 Mitsubishi Mirage 1.5L DE

I need to know the step by step process in order to top out the performance of my suspension. What do i need to buy for a quality suspension. What ride height would be necessary fora 17in wheel.

well i can't really say that i know whats the best.
but your car is relatively light, so you just need some higher rate springs for the front...
probably no more than 1.7 drop and no wider than 7 1/2" wheels.
but for the best performance usually a set of coilovers are the best way to go,
pricey yes, worth it?? well entirely up to you.
but just remember you get what you pay for.
d2 has some nice ones for about $1500.00, and im sure with some research you can find some others also.
but they have different damping rates along with camber adjustment and a very nice height adjustment.
and if you go wider than 7 1/2" you may rub on the inner wheel well, with the wheel maxed out to the right or left.

if you're looking for performance, ditch your 17's and go with a set of 15's or 16's with a low pro tire, something nice and sticky, a set of 32 way adjustable coil overs, strut tower bars, ITR rear sway bar and you're set. should be good for some pretty nice autoX times provided you can drive.
