Default 2015 mirage de wont start

Hoping someone that knows this type of car can give us some place to start that will help us get the car to start. Since we got it it has ran pretty poorly it idles badly has no power etc. I just chocked it up to being a tiny 3 cyl car. the other day my wife was working and turned it off went inside the place she needed to and came out tried to start it and it tried for a second to turnover but then nothing it has the dash lights and everything but when you turn the key up it doesnt even try once in a while it will but usually you get nothing. me and my brother in law tried jumping across the starter to see if it would start it turns over but doesnt start. a few times it did fire sounded like it was going to but that was only a couple times. we pulled the fuel line apart at the rail its getting fuel when the key is turned up. we pulled a spark plug out and checked to see if it was sparking the plug was dry and never sparked. we replaced the battery first now im trying to figure out what it is i believe if it was sparking it would start by crossing the terminal with a wrench. we are pretty low on cash atm and it came right after paying the rent so instead of wasting more money throwing parts at the problem i came here to ask i checked the fuses and didnt find any that were blown as well.

things i have been looking at are the camshaft sensor the cranks sensor ecu and starter. if there is a way to eliminate any of them easily id like to know how it wasnt showing a engine light before it did this either. Someone said this particular car may have a antitheft function that prevents it from being started by crossing the terminals on the starter not sure how true that is but figured id add that.
