Autolock 2000 Mirage
 

My wife is one of the smartest people I know but she has locked her keys in her Mirage a few times by starting the engine, which auto locks the doors, then, maybe she forgot som and gos to get it and closes the door, BAM locked out.

Is there a way to disable that "feature". I hate it because I have to wait until she turns off the car to get out, or manually unlock my door whenever I ride with her.

Styx... I'm not sure about the autolock feature... it's obviously not standard otherwise I would have it on my car. Did you buy yours stock with a security system or did you install one after?
For the time being, I would reccomend buying a hide-a-key or something similar. It's a small case that magnetically sticks to your car, so you can put it somewhere hidden on the underside of your car and it won't fall off... that way, even if you lock yourself out, you always have a means of getting in.
