Default The beast inside of a Mirage LS

Hi guys certaintly I know this car is not popular like a eclipse or other kind of mitsu car ,the reason that I do this topic is to show you guys that a Mirage with a 4g93 and 4g94 short block have a lot of power hidden inside them.I know that most people here try to found waht header is good for your car ,the intake, couple of thinks that can gain hp to you r car.I will let you know my expierience through it.

i will show you photos of my car so you know what I mean.

To start I am owner of 2 mirage ls a 99 and 2001 that is the grey you see on the photo actually the 2001 that is above have 4g93 SOHC engine runs 12.6@106mph the true is that engines with a good combination they let you see their true power the car is NOT Programable he use a eclipse 2G turbo ECU he go from 6,800 to 7,500.

Common questions like waht intake to use ,I try a lot of them exept by those like RRM ,Injen ect..... I do my custom intake and give me a lot of whp on the dyno that intake give me from 4 to 12 whp depend of the cam he acomodated the hp in a certain rev`s but the Hp will stay all ways.Headers I use a one is 4-2-1 comes from japan.Pistons Wisseco,CP or Arias ,clutch recomend ACT with bronce.

The car you see is naturally aspirated NO NOS.

If some of you is interested on any part for your Mirage just post on this topic i will clarify your doubts

So are you saying that you dont use an actual turbo, and your only using a 2g eclipse turbo ECU only with upgraded internals? Or are you using a 2g eclipse turbo AND the ECU from the eclipse? I dont fully understand exactly what your saying is all. I would love to see your setup. Im sure that you have some pictures of the engine bay, right? I checked out your youtube video, and your Mirage sounds nice. And its running quick.

From what I understand, you fabricated your own custom intake system, JDM 4-2-1 headers, wiseco pistons, and an act clutch... (is the clutch a stage 1 or 2 etc.?)

You have to have upgraded your suspension and done some weight reduction as well. Trust me, I am not knocking you, I like your setup a lot! I just want to see what youve got going on under the hood, and for suspension, etc.

Love the car man, keep up the sick work! It looks great, and is running even better than it looks!
Post those pics of your engine bay! I wanna see it!!

Yes friend what i saying is that I only use the eclipse ECU just to go on more rev, cause the program of the eclipse ECU is very similar to the Mirage.Under the hood is a 4g93 engine.

The clutch is the regular one ACT yellow plate with bronze disc without springs.

I recomend that you do ur own intake right now, maybe I gona start to sell them the one is work for me.

Header you can buy one from e bay it work perfect on those cars.

About the pistons I recomend those 3 but depend of your $ in wich one you really want to go with it ,they change in their technology to do the pistons, but these 3 make high compression piston for the 4g93 engine thats why I mentioned them.

Yes I upgrade my suspension and combined with little weight reduction ,I use Acura Integra normal rear springs they fit perfect and AGR KYB adjustable struts.

I have 1999 2 door Mirage Coupe. I loved that car but traded in for a 2008 Lancer. my child is getting bigger needed a bigger car.

People turned their heads when they saw my Mirage it wasn't even fully loaded. It was just a fujita intake and 4 inch muffler but it sounded good. Compared to Powetech's car mine is a mini.

Powertech you RIGHT ON THE MONEY. A good track car and everyday street car.

A lot people don't know the potential of the Mirage. it is fun to Twick!!!
