Door Hinge Problem
 

I have a 1997 Mirage LS. The passenger door will not close properly. I thought it was because of the fender binding it. But the door is hanging about 2 inches too low when open. It is hard to see what is going on without really taking door of which I am unsure sbout going. It looks like the hinge is not attached to door. I don't know if the hinge itself is broke off or is just loose from door. Is it possible the hinge is broke off the door completely or can it be re attached. I am thinking I need a new door . Anyone ever replaced a door or had a similar problem. Thank you.

Finally got the door off. It is completely separated from the door. Pretty poor setup...just a thin strip of metal holding it in place. Not sure it can be repaired...may have to replace it. $320 part.
