Intermittant Check Engine Light Problem

Just bought a 1997 Mirage LS 1.8L. At speed there is a noticeable hesitation and clicking noise from glove box. Doesn't happen all the time and usually it's about four times. The Check Engine Light comes on briefly each time. Any ideas? Thinking it could be a cam sensor, EGR problem or computer is bad. Thanks for any help. It's got 135,000 miles. Everything else seems good except for this problem.

Hi,
Try scanning trouble codes with obd scanner.
And then check engine code

Just took car to Battery Mart...local guys that are great...had them check battery. Iy was good and charging system was working fine. Noticed that previous owner had put a screw in positive battery terminal cable end. I had to really tighten ends down to get it to shop. They replaced some worn out and corroded cable ends - original ends had a two-piece metal setup - that they replaced. Cost of repair was $8.37. So far - so good. Haven't noticed other problem - guys said I need to run car more often = I let it sit about 3 weeks without starting. Thanks MX.
