Rims on stock car?

hey i was wondering, if i get a set of 17" rims on my car, will it be compatible with the brakes or will i need new rotors? will it have rubbing issues? also what is the best lowering level for 17s, as in 3in lowerin or 2.75? thanks a lot guys!

it depends on alot of different things as to wether or not youll have rubbing issues. Type of rim, offset, ect. The biggest thing you just need to make sure of is that it has the same bolt pattern as your stock wheels have. A 17" isnt really too big so i dont see you having any problems with rubbing on the tires. And also 3" is a pretty big drop. With that you'd have to get a camber kit as well. Personally i would go with around a 1.5-2" drop.

unless you've gone and done a VR4 big brake upgrade without tellin anyone or you're super special and got your hands on a custom Wilwood set up, 17's will have no problem clearing your calipur and rotor. biggest thing is your off set and bolt pattern. mirage, at least the 5g (97+) has a 4x100 bolt pattern. When your talkin drops, I wouldn't recomend anything more than 2." I had a 2.25" drop on my first Mirage and the ride absolutely sucked. Eibach sportlines, KYB GR-2's and a set of 17's will give you looks and performance, although you may want to think about dropping to a 15" or 16" wheel if you're looking for more performance (less mass to turn=easier to turn the wheel=you go a lil faster)
