Where is location of camshaft position sensor in 1999 mirage
 
Where is camshaft position sensor located in 1999 mitsubishi mirage automatic?

is it inside distributor cap or is it inside distributor and can we open it?

My friend has 2003 galant automatic and I want to use camshaft sensor from 99 mirage but I cant find the location so dont know where to pull it from...

I could not find inside the distributor...so bought new from autozone and replaced it..

btw one more questions..this is for 2001 mitsubishi galant automatic 2.4 L engine.

I saw a vacuum pump has a port which was not connected to any thing....there was a hose coming from a part on throttle body ....this part is round shaped like diapharm and bronze in color with 4 screws...this hose was just loose ...do you know if this hose goes to the port on vacuum pump?
can you please post picture or diagram ...or tell me name of that part on throttle body...just besides throttle position sensor...
also make sure that this part connects to vacuum pump through hose..
