‘02 Montero Limited Overland/off-roader

Hello there! I currently have a 2002 Montero Limited that I want to do some overlanding and off roading in. Some things I’m looking at doing is a 2” lift with 1.5” wheel spacers. Eventually I will be getting off-road bumpers but for now I’d like to know what size tires I can get that will still fit the wheel wells without needing to cut the fenders.
what size tires do you recommend and do you think the lift and spacers are a good fit?
thank you!

Hey bud this section has been kinda dead for awhile, reddit and the facebook montero group, expedition portal, those places will get more responses. To answer your question anything over stock size will start to rub so you'll have to trim and bang around inside the fenders lift or no lift. My advice is leave it stock and replace all the broken or worn out stuff especially hoses and fittings.

Not 100% accurate. I have slightly ocersized tires on 2001 Montero Limited (P265/75R-16). They do not rub anywhere and do give close to half inch lift by themselves. These tires work very well with OME 2" lift kit. I had that for many years and im very happy with it. If you plan to overlanding, definitely start with a good suspension beefing up.
