00 Montero Sport SRS light on ????
 

I just changed out my A/C Compressor and when I finished the SRS lightcame on, can any one tell me what the SRS light is for and how I can fix it ??? please

The srs light is for your air bags.

There are impact sensors in and around the front bulkhead and frame tubes. Not sure if they are near the compressor but if you also changed out the A/C dryer it possible you may have disconnected a wire somewhere? Also, for any reason did you have the steering wheel off?

If you turn the key on with any component disconnected it will set the SRS light. Even when everything is hooked up again you'll have to go to a dealer or other mechanic with a Mitsu scan tool (MUT) to have the error cleared - so you might want go and have them pull the codes and identify the source of the problem.

Will this keep the vehicle from starting?
 

[I changed out my transmission filter and this SRS light has popped up. That won't keep it from starting will it. I'm thinking the battery might just be drained but I want to make sure.
