Mine doesn't have a fusible link on the positive connection, its just the big cable running to starter and small white cable which runs over to fuse box on the fender well. Ive noticed that theirs a relay that says power relay on the top. Ive changed battery ends cleaned them and checked for corrosion and its really starting to bug me.Pulled the radio fuse and it still wont keep working. When you crank the vehicle and check the voltage after cranking it will be at 14.4volts but as you start turning on headlights and ac/heat fan motor the voltage will slowly drop to 11volts turn the lights and ac/heat fan motor off voltage will rise up to 12volts.I can crank it several times after and will only get 12volts at battery running. Let it sit for about a hour and re crank it voltage will be at 14.4volts so frustrating trying to figure this thing out. Alternator could be bad as far as voltage regulator. Yikes

What happens if you start the engine (14v), turn on all accessories (down to 11v), turn accessories off (back to 12v) then rev the engine? What do you get on the voltage at this point? Will it go to 14v when revved up to 2500 RPM or does it stays at 12? If it stays at 12 - you've got a bad regulator.

Just for kicks - is your alternator OEM or an aftermarket? I've read elsewhere that aftermarket one's do not work well with Mitsubishis. When time came to replace mine, I've opted for an OEM replacement (at 2x price of the aftermarket). To me it was worth the extra cost.

Yeah when you rev the motor it will stay at 12v. gonna take it off and have one that's rebuilt locally put on.Wouldn't it show up when they tested it that the regulator was bad?Owned the vehicle since 2007 had 66,xxxmiles on it. No one but the big dealership's will work on it,as soon as you tell them what it is they wont touch it.Alternator has been on the vehicle since we've owned it,and oil leak killed it. Thanks for all the help
