1989 Montero Wiper Linkage Issue

Hi everyone,

I have an 89 Montero and I replaced the wiper motor. When I reassemble it and try the wipers they go up, and then stop on the way down. The linkage disconnects as the wipers go down causing them to stop. Has anyone else experienced this issue? If so how did you solve it?
