I put a set of 16x7 Toyota Tacoma steelies on my swb Monty, and they fit perfect. I put 265/70 Sumitomos on them, and there's no rubbing anywhere. I got them off Craig's List, so that might be a good source for you to look. Stock aluminum Tacoma or Landcruiser wheels might look nice, provided they're the right bolt pattern and hub opening. I think the bolt pattern is 6x5.5, and the center hub opening is 4.25".

I just put the rims and 31/10.5 tires from a 81 Chevy Suburban on my 90 lwb Monty and they seem to work just fine.

I know some of the later model Chevy hub openings are too small. I was looking at putting on some 90's era 'Burb/Tahoe wheels, but their hub opening was only 3", and they wouldn't fit over the FWD hubs on the front. Must be the older years, and maybe the heavier models (3/4 ton and 1 ton?) models have the larger hubs?

Just some advice...if you decide to get some used wheels/tires, make sure to get them rebalanced, and if they're larger than what you're running now, get an alignment done as well. So that's going to be another $125-$150 on top of the wheels and tires to think about...

Default 1989 2 door Montero/Raider seized engine

I have a 89 Dodge Raider with a seized motor. Does anyone know a place where I can get a V6 short block for a reasonable price? I live in Alaska, and my options are limited to none. I scan Craigslist here every day, but there is just no more of them left here in AK. thanks for your input.

Default Cheap, plentiful, mitsu 3.0 v6

Your local dodge caravan with a 3.0 and a blown transmission is the cheap sorce for a engine, you will need to swap some of the outside tin and the oil pump and what not.

Wow!!! You've given much hope to my out of commision Raider. Can you provide me with more details:
1. What years of Dodge Caravan / Plymouth Voyager will "Bolt-in"?
2. I'm limited in knowledge and skill so can you comprehensively explain what "need to swap some of the outside tin and and what not" means to me?
Thank you so much for your time and support.
