1991 Montero LS 3.0L V6 Starter Removal Trouble & Right Exhaust Manifold Removal Trou

Hello fellow Mitsubishi Montero Lovers. I have a 1991 Montero LS V6 3.0L 4WD SUV, the starter went out earlier this week. I have disconnected the negative battery cable and all the cables attached to the starter. My problem is the bolts that secure the starter to the transmission are way too tight for me to break loose with a 3/8" breaker bar and a 10" extension bar from underneath the truck. Does anyone know what the torque specifications are for these 14mm bolts?

My second issue at hand is that I have a cracked right exhaust manifold that needs to be replaced. I went to Pick-n-Pull and pulled of a used right exhaust manifold off a 1992 Montero RS which is is in very good condition. I have removed the heat shield, the exhaust manifold nuts and the right exhaust flange nuts. My problem is that the lower exhaust pipes will not budge in order to lower them off the stud bolts from the right exhaust manifold. I have attempted to disconnect the left connecting exhaust pipe connected to the Y-exhaust pipe, however I do not know what size nut secures the Y-pipe to the left exhaust connector pipe. I would also like to know what torque specification these 2 nuts are torqued to. One last question is what size and thread are the stud bolts threaded into the engine block that the right exhaust manifold bolts to? I am missing the upper stud bolt for cylinder #5.

Hi Mlahrens, Missing a cyclender head bolt ??? When doing a rebuild you are to replace all the head bolts with new ones anyway... You can download the manual in this forum.

you will need quite a few toque specs anyway so get the manual and dig in bud. The bolts will have it's own PITCH so you may have to buy them or get them from the pick n pull. Good Luck with the rebuild.
