Default 1995 Montero 3.0 no spark on coil #3

I have a 1995 montero 3.0 . It would not start it had no spark and intermittent spark. I had the ECM rebuilt and it still had the same problem. I replaced the crank sensor and the first two coils spark and the 3rd coil does not have any spark. I switched coil 2 and 3 to test the coil and still no spark on # 3. So there is no signal coming from the wires for coil #3. Any ideas ? Please help.

Thanks,
Dave

I have the same issue. The coil works fine (switched them) but no spark in 2 spark plugs that come out of coil #3.

The problem was the timing belt jumped time. one of the cams was not in correct timing and the cam sensor would not let the coil fire at the correct time. The belt looked fine so i did not line up the motor and check the timing at first. A bad cam sensor could also cause this problem. After searching the internet #3 coil not firing seems to be a common problem. Hope this heips.
