1996 montero blinker issues
Hey everyone,
So I have a 1996 Montero LS with the 3.0L. I replaced my starter yesterday and when I got it running again the right blinker would not turn off and the left one would not turn on. I'm not sure if the work I did on the starter triggered this or not- seem pretty unrelated and in different parts of the vehicle. I've been reading about the flasher switches and how they can go bad/ get stuck. However, I'm not sure if that's the problem as the high beams, wipers, and hazards still work fine. Could it be the relay too? I haven't dealt with a problem like this before so I don't want to go out and take the steering wheel and steering column out to get to the switch if it is something more simple.
Any help anyone could offer would be great.
Thanks

i cant imagine the relays are that well hidden. They pull out and test.
I'd be testing everything before replacing it.
Its an odd symptom for a spdt switch (as the indicator stem is) so, the Switch can be tested with continuity meter,
but it sounds more like electrical gremlins.
Could you have pinched/grounded out wires while you were working on it?
