Default 2000 Montero Sport LTD questions

Thinking of buying one, has 61k miles on it.

Have read many reviews and feedback but got mixed messages. Edmunds and epionions has good feeback overall but at carsurvey.org, alot of negative feedback, mainly about the brakes.

Anybody give me any feedback on here? I sometimes tell myself only disgruntlled people post on some sites and if you're happy withe the vehicle you tend not to post?

Thanks

I have owned a 1999 limited for 2 years. I have never had the first sign of a problem.
I would definitely buy it again

I have an 02 limited also, and am wondering the proper functionality of the following:

1) When you start the truck and don't belt your seatbelt, does your warning light stay on or go off?
2) After starting the truck, buckling your seat belt, driving for a while and unbuckeling it, does your seatbelt warnign light come on?

Thanks

If I'm online you can PM me.

The seatbelt light will stay on until you put the seatbelt on!You gotta put it on for the light to go out.!

The seatbelt light so not come on if you have the seatbelt buckled in place. You may need to call a MITSU DEALEr to make sure you don't have a recall issue.

What I was referring to in number two, was if you were driving and unbuckeled your seatbelt (say to reach change for a toll, or to be able to reach something in the vehicle, or pull something out of your pocket).

BTW.. what year is your Montero sport LTD again?
