2000 Montero Sport LS 3.0/4X2
Did the 2000 Montero LS Sport ever come with an overdrive? I thought that in the 1990s they did, but don't know about the years form 2000-2006. If they did, could one swap out an automatic 4 speed with a transmission that had an overdrive, or would there be trouble?

all monteros have at least a 4 speed OD transmission.
at least in the USA.
there actually never was a 2000 model year for the montero in america. It went from the old body style in 99 to the new body style in 2001.
