2002 Montero LTD - 4x4 Bulbs
Hello,
I have a 2002 Montero 4x4 LTD (non-sport) and recently I've noticed that one of the rear wheel 4x4 indicators in the speedometers is not lighting up. Usually the rear wheels lights are always on. I actually unscrewed the frame, pulled the speedometer out and swapped the bulbs and it was working fine after that which confirms that light bulbs are not working. My question is, where can I find those little bulbs to replace? Also my seat-belt bulb is not working. I did see one bulb on the upper center of the speedometer which I believe works alternatively for lights like ABS, seat belt etc. Can someone please shed some light on this? |
I had a problem with my bulb going out too, I have the same vehicle as you.
I just hit the dash really hard and it came back on hah. Can you show us pictures of your removal of the dash and picture of the bulb, maybe we can find out what bulb it is to replace. Was it easy to access the bulbs? I want to change them to nice LEDs |
I'm having the same problem.
How do I remove the panels to get to the 4WD indicator lights? |
Tap gently
I always laugh when my Montero goes into 1WD (one rear light only). I found that gently tapping the wheel indicator gauge works 99% of the time.

Here is a mob that can get you any bulb you need.
I think you need a #74 (T5, T1-3/4)...can't quite remember... autolumination - Google Search Below is a link to the FSM section that might help... http://www.pajero4x4.ru/piii/GR00002500-52A.pdf Good Luck |
I went to the dealer to get bulbs. Part number is MR444536. I bought about 6 of them for a supply.
