Default 2002 Montero LTD Dryer

I am changing the compressor on my 02 montero limited, and was wondering where the dryer/accumulator is located? I have followed all the lines and cannot find it anywhere. If anyone has any diagrams, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

its part of the condenser, which is how most manufacturers have been doing it for years.

Many is correct. Its a bag that is packed in a tube that is part of the condensor. You can find the bag and replace. Its a newer design and nice really. The bag is cheap compared to a dryer can. My dryer bag was contaminated when I replaced my compressor last year. Definitely dont skip this step.

No affiliation, but I got my dryer from carpartswarehouse.com. They turned out to be local and had plenty of AC components for the monty.

Yeah, i got to looking around and found the drier location. It was pretty east to replace, and i am glad i did. I made sure i flushed the condenser out really well. I got the drier kit that included the bad, the screen and a new plug from napa for about 16 dollars. they were able to get one the next day. It worked out really well. thanks for your help.
